Hello my name is Chrissy! I am a beautiful pure bred German shepherd with stunning brown eyes. The vet says I am 15-24 months old at the most. I was found by animal control after I had been dumped out by my past owners. I was running loose all on my own in the cold for almost two months. I have an absolutely wonderful personality. I do not have a mean or aggressive bone in my body. I have done well with everyone I have met. Once I get to know you I love to goof around, play, and snuggle. I have done great with other dogs, but if given the chance I would absolutely thrive as a sole companion. I love going for rides in the car, and I do not pull on the leash. I look deep into your eyes for direction on what you want me to do. I already know how to sit, lay down, and flop "over" on my side. I can be a real clown! If you are looking for a loyal companion, you won't find a more loyal dog than me.

The nice people at animal control are not sure what happened to me before I was rescued, but my left hip sits lower than my right. X-rays of my legs and hips revealed that it was not my hip that was causing the problem. I have had a broken femur in my left leg. The vet says the break is healing and should come together ok-I do not need surgery at this time and will most likely not require any surgery in the future for the fracture. X-rays also revealed that my right hip has a touch of hip dysplasia and arthritis, but again there is nothing that can be done at this point. I get around great, run, jump, and play hard. At this point in time I am pain free. Anyone lucky enough to have me join as a part of their family has to be willing and able to be take care of me if and when later in my life I may require medical care for my hips and joints-as is somewhat common in shepherd or other large breed dogs.
