Cordelia is a hurricane Katrina survivor. She spent three WEEKS in her owner's house with no food and minimum water. She was finally rescued from the house but her owner turned her over to rescue. He had lost everything of course, and just couldn't afford to keep her. She had every parasite, internal and external, known to man.
She has been nursed back to health, she is spayed, housetrained, great with kids, cats and other dogs. A really sweet girl. Very active :-). She is about 3 years old.
She would love to find a home that would be interested in performance, therapy or SAR. She is very bright and willing. There is a minor issue with seperation anxiety, but if she gets plenty of exercise and attention it isn't a problem. It needs to be a home that is familiar with German Shepherds. She also has some issues with thunderstorms (who can blame her after Katrina!!). They are managable though.
