Lesieux (pronounced "lee-sue") is a 50-pound, eight-month-old gorgeous, sweet, gentle, intelligent and healthy German Shepherd puppy looking for a wonderful home.
Lesieux is fantastic with people of all ages, other dogs, appears to ignore cats, is crate-trained and working hard on his house-training. He's still in the chewing, mouthing and teething stage, but with people he has a very soft gentle mouth.
This poor little boy was seen by a compassionate dog-lover languishing in a small crate in a pet store window. She believed that he was being fed only a small amount so that he would appear younger and more appealing to those looking to buy a puppy. Since he rarely got out of the cage, his legs were not developing proper muscle mass through exercise. So, the dog-lover purchased the puppy to find him a proper home.
Lesieux is being fostered by a wonderful, positive trainer who has been working with him for the past month. She reports that he has improved tremendously in his muscle tone, gained 10 pounds and is learning commands including sit, down, wait and watch me. He swims and plays at the dog beach, and is learning how to be a wonderful companion. He's looking for a shepherd-lover to take over, continue his training and give him daily exercise and love for the rest of his life.
Lesieux is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, de-wormed, micro-chipped and on heartworm preventative. Please send us your application if you believe you could be the perfect home for Lesieux. We believe he would enjoy a home with perhaps another dog and of course, lots of love and attention.
